This is a question we are asked a lot. If this is your first website, or your first time setting up or switching webhosting, it's a good idea to have a short checklist in mind.

For "newbies":

You are a "newbie" if you do not currently have a domain name, or website. Or, if this is your first time setting up your own website.

1- You will need a domain name. We can register one for you! Please see our domain services page for more information.

2- You will need an idea of what type of website/business you'd like to open, and some knowledge on your options. If you have questions, our staff is always willing to help! Don't be shy, just give us a call or e-mail us and we'll walk you through the process!

3- Access to a computer. How obvious is that? Believe it or not, we are asked sometimes, so to touch on it very quickly, you are responsible for updating and maintaining your own website regularly. Bizzy Mama Hosting offers web maintenance services at an additional hourly fee. Once your website is online, you have an obligation to your visitors, clients and customers to keep your content fresh and current for them!

4- Lastly, you will need to choose a hosting package, or complete package (complete packages include design and/or web maintenance) and proceed through check-out. As always, if you have any questions feel free to contact us at any time for a walk-through. We accept paypal and credit cards for payment at this time, and will be accepting money orders and checks in the near future.

For transfers, or web savvy mama's:

1- A domain name, or access to your current domain registrars back end. If you will be updating your own nameservers, that information will be provided to you upon set-up of your new Bizzy Mama Hosting account. If you would like us to update your nameservers, while keeping your domain at it's current registrar, there is an option during checkout for us to do so for a small fee. If you would like to transfer your domain to Bizzy Mama Hosting, please choose that option after picking a package and have your log-in information ready for your current registrar. A member of staff will e-mail you shortly requesting an authorization code for the transfer.

2- If you are transferring an existing site over to Bizzy Mama Hosting, and you are not comfortable transferring the information over yourself, please contact us before placing your hosting order so we can take a look at your site and verify that it is transferrable. Some softwares are not transferrable! It is very important that you contact us first to be sure we can host your current site.

3- Choose your hosting or complete package, and proceed through check-out! If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
